The group is open for membership to organisations or individuals who:
- have a worker or volunteer relationship with a Meals on Wheels service whether that be by a local government body or another government funded agency;
- works within the Community Care sector;
- is a consumer of the service; or
- is a person who has a special interest in this industry
Membership fee: $80 p.a.
Full membership entitles you to access to our members' section on this website, copies of all minutes & invites to all meetings. Individual membership gives you voting rights at meetings and the right to be nominated to the Board.
We are a non-profit organisation and all monies are recorded as in accordance with Corporate Affairs guidelines and used only to maintain members services and assist all regional groups to operate with minimum cost.
Regions
Meals Victoria is divided into 6 regions; 5 Rural Victoria & 1 Metropolitan. At present we have 2 regional groups, Hume and Loddon Mallee, with plans to begin groups in Gippsland & Grampians. Meals Victoria as a state meet regularly, but it is the aim of our group to establish the 6 regions as active groups that will meet regularly to discuss local issues and feed this information back to the central committee.
It is envisaged that each regional group will meet 4 times a year and Meals Victoria as a whole will meet twice a year, one meeting being a formal State Conference.
